What GetSMS is
GetSMS.uk is a free service that lets anyone get SMS online without a SIM card. We operate real mobile phone numbers in several countries and publish every message they receive on a public inbox page, in real time. If a website or app asks you for a phone number to send a verification code, you can use one of ours instead of your own — and read the code here seconds later.
How it works technically
Our numbers are genuine mobile numbers hosted in the cloud, not email gateways or simulations. Incoming SMS is received by the carrier, forwarded to our platform, and displayed on the number's page immediately — the inbox updates itself while you watch, so a code sent to one of our numbers is typically readable within ten seconds. Numbers rotate periodically and fresh ones are added to keep verification success rates high.
Why it's free
The service is supported entirely by advertising. That model only works if the site is genuinely useful, so we spend our effort on the things that matter: fresh numbers, instant delivery, and honest information — including honest information about what these numbers are not good for.
What we ask of you
Every inbox here is public — anyone can read any message. So please: use our numbers for one-time, low-stakes verifications only. Never use them for banking, government services, or any account that holds money or personal data, and never as a two-factor or recovery number. Our safety guide explains the full reasoning.
